Collaborations
SRM-Mitsubishi Electric
The Center of Excellence in Factory Automation was established in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric, India. A memorandum of understanding was signed for a joint training center which is aimed to train the students in the automation field and create industry-ready trained professional. The scope of MoU is to support skill development of students under MEI educational support activities, curriculum design, organizing FDP’s, conferences and workshops. The center is equipped with various modules of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Servo systems and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). Our faculties are trained on these modules with hands-on experience by subject matter experts from Mitsubishi Electric. The center offers skill development program on factory automation to the interested students.
As a result of this collaboration, we have introduced B.Tech and M.Tech degree programmes in Automation and Robotics supported by Mitsubishi Electric from the academic year 2022-23

Noteworthy Collaboration
The department has active research collaborations and partnerships with Government agencies like the IGCAR, CSIR, and International collaborations with RMIT University, Australia, to foster the holistic development of students. The research ambiance has motivated 100+ student teams to inculcate, invent, and transform their research ideas into prototype models and marketable products. The process control lab is an integral part of Instrumentation Engineering. Hence the department has partnered with KCP SUGARS & INDCOR AP, for motivating the students to reach a higher level of learning using practical concepts and internship training at their industry
